The Garden Club of Cleveland’s Seeding Growth Grants Program directly supports local nonprofit organizations and project that advance environmental stewardship and civic beauty across Greater Cleveland.  Applications for GCC’s Seeding Growth grants are due in March each year and are posted to the GCC website beginning each January. In 2026, GCC will distribute over $46,000 in funding to local nonprofits.

Sponsors of the GCC’s Seeding Growth Grants Program receive recognition at the club’s annual Harvest Boutique fundraiser in October.  And, in 2026, sponsors who support at levels $500 and above will also receive recognition at GCC’s Flower Flash series in University Circle.   A Flower Flash is a pop-up floral installation in a public space, inspired by New York floral designer Lewis Miller, known as “the Banksy of Flowers”.  It is a simple and joyful act of beauty designed to delight and inspire. Visitors are invited to take a photo and take a bouquet home. In partnership with Cleveland Botanical Garden and University Circle Inc., GCC will actively market the Flashes to draw as many visitors as possible. The first of three Flashes in 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, May 16th near Cleveland Botanical Garden.
